
Madelyn Byrtus (“Maddy”) is an Intern Architect at Hobin Architecture who brings a well-rounded perspective to design and construction. Joining the firm in 2019, Maddy has become an integral member of our institutional team, contributing to projects that shape educational, healthcare, and community environments.
Holding a Master of Architecture from Carleton University and an Architectural Technology Advanced Diploma from Algonquin College, Maddy understands every stage of a project—from concept design through documentation and construction. Her technical expertise in AutoCAD and Revit, combined with a strong foundation in detailing, ensures precision and quality in her work.
Maddy’s portfolio includes a diverse range of projects, such as Maple View Lodge Long-Term Care Redevelopment, Louise-Arbour Public Elementary School and Daycare, and Fire Station 45 (LEED Silver) for the City of Ottawa. She has also contributed to mixed-use developments like Brighton Gateway and seniors’ residences including the award-winning Vista on Sparks by Signature.
Her collaborative approach and commitment to design excellence make her a valued contributor to projects that enhance communities across Ontario.
