
Doug Brooks is a Principal and Senior Technologist at Hobin Architecture, with a career spanning over four decades in architectural design and project delivery. His extensive experience includes a wide range of public and private sector projects, executed under various contract types and delivery models.

Doug is recognized for his meticulous attention to detail in the development of contract documents and his thorough approach to contract administration. His strength lies in coordinating multi-disciplinary consultant teams and resolving complex design details, which has contributed to the successful execution of numerous large-scale institutional and private sector developments.
Among his notable projects is the City of Ottawa’s James Bartleman Centre, which received an OAA Design Excellence Award, a City of Ottawa Urban Design Award of Merit, and achieved LEED Gold Certification. Doug also played a key role in the Passive House-certified Mosaiq 1 affordable housing project at 811 Gladstone Avenue for Ottawa Community Housing.
